Mires Beck Nursery

The majority of trees planted in the Humber Forest are grown at Mires Beck Nursery in North Cave. Mires Beck Nursery is a registered charity and day service for adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and Autism. They operate a commercial nursery growing high volumes of cell-grown trees, wildflowers of Yorkshire Provenance and perennial plants. Their habitat production is targeted for tree planting, rewilding, and habitat restoration projects within the counties of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

The Plant a Tree Foundation (PATT)

The PATT Foundation are passionate about the environment. They work with local authorities and landowners to create woodlands and forests filled with diverse and native species of tree and hedgerow that can thrive and bring back nature.

Rewilding Youth

Rewilding Youth is a community interest company which aims to engage young people living in disadvantaged communities with the wild world through reconnecting them with their local urban ‘wild’ spaces. They do this through introducing young people to bushcraft activities such as foraging, shelter-building, fire-making, storytelling, earth-building and natural crafts.

The Conservation Volunteers (TCV)

TCV bring people together to create, improve and care for green spaces. Improving local parks, community gardens, Local Nature Reserves and Sites of Special Scientific Interest; from school grounds and hospital grounds to waterways, wetlands, and woodlands; they connect people to the green spaces that form a vital part of any healthy, happy community.
